Brook Park Named the 5th Safest City in Ohio
SafeWise.com, a leading web resource for home security and community safety information, has named the city of Brook Park as the 5th safest city in the state of Ohio with a population of 15,000 or higher. The list includes the 50 safest cities in the state, based on FBI Crime Rate data from 2011 and the site's own research.
Newly Appointed Officials
The City of Brook Park would like to introduce the newest members of the City's staff: Thomas J. Coyne, Mayor; Bess Vrettos, Executive Administrator to the Mayor; Lou Cayet, Director of Public Services; Dave Byrnes, Director of Public Safety; Mary Ann Fields, Director of Recreation; Mike Dolan, Director of Economic Development; and Jennifer Sinatra, Human Resources Commissioner.
Important Rubbish Information
The curbside seasonal weekly Yard Waste Program will end this year on Friday, November 1, 2013. The Service Department will begin vacuuming leaves from tree lawns beginning the week of Monday, November 4, 2013. All leaves that are collected from the tree lawns will be composted. ONLY LEAVES may be picked up by the vacuums. Please exclude grass clippings, branches, etc. For the remaining growing season, residents are asked to bag all grass clippings and any residual yard waste material. Please place those bags in your Black Carts. The City is not responsible for excessive yard waste debris that may be left in your Black Cart if not properly bagged.
